Dr. Nolan holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Dept. of Cognitive Science at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) with specialization in memory, dementia, stroke, brain plasticity and insulin resistence. Previously, she was the C.O.O. and co-founder of a state-of-the-art stroke and brain injury rehabilitation center. Dr. Nolan has taught university courses at UCI, LMU, and Glendale Community College, including Gerontology, Research Methods, Statistics, General Psychology, English Composition, Psychophysiology, and career guidance. She has conducted local and nationwide clinical trials, and published in both scientific journals and popular magazines. She is a devout Catholic and homeschooled her children for 12 years.
