Homeschooling is tough! Also very rewarding, but still tough. Not only do we need great ideas, but we need support. We need to see other faces of those working along side of us.
Tami Kiser is an author and speaker who lives in the mountains in South Carolina. She is mom to ten, all of whom were homeschooled at some point. Two children are still at home, one son in college, two children starting out on their own, and five children married with their own children. She holds a part-time teaching job at a Catholic high school. The rest of her time and energy is spent running Heart Ridge Retreat and Cultural Center with her husband and BFF, Keith. If she isn’t saving turtles off of the road, or reading to her daughter, or walking around the lake saying the Rosary, she can be found at her desk doing retreat center correspondences or painting a barn quilt.

This talk explores these as well as demonstrating practical ways to get more nature into our children's lives.
